Our Impact

Access to Advice

Our generalist advice service spans housing issues to death and bereavement advice. We're here to support anyone with free, impartial and confidential advice.

Financial Gains

When we assist our clients in claiming benefits that they are entitled to, we bring money back to the local economy and financial gain to Charnwood.

We're volunteer run

The vast majority of our service is staffed by volunteers, who save the local authority countless hours and ensure their resources are saved for where they're needed most.

National association of Citizens Advice

The Citizens Advice service is made up of the national charity, and our network of over 270 independent local Citizens Advice charities in England and Wales. The membership organisation, Citizens Advice is based in London and sets the quality standards for all Citizens Advice offices.

It also provides up-to-date information sources for our use and raises, at a national level, the issues affecting people’s lives with those who are causing them, thereby helping all Citizens Advice offices to exercise a responsible influence on policymakers. See Research & Campaigns for more information.

We are a small, local charity with limited resources, staffed mainly by volunteers. Our phone line is extremely busy. If you can't get through it means we are helping someone else. Please try again during our opening hours. Whilst we would like to help everyone this is not always possible. We are doing our best.
